A mud gun is designed for use in a solids control system of a drilling rig. It is a tool which is mainly used for mixing drilling mud in the circulatory system and to prevent the mud from precipitating. The structure of equipment is simple offering flexible operation and easy use. A mud gun is commonly used to guard against precipitates in a solids control system. The mud gun is installed in a mud tank.
Furthermore, it is usually used together with mud agitator. The mud agitator is used in the middle of the tank while the mud gun is placed in the corner of the tank

Aipu NJQ mud gun means the drilling fluid mixing gun used in the mud system. The mud guns are fit on mud tanks. Usually, each agitator will be fit one mud gun to be partners working together. Agitators and mud guns will help to get a better mud condition. 

Mud Guns are designed for submerged service in mud pits and are popular in 2", 3". Besides, 4” is available against client request. They can be high pressure gun, or low pressure, high volume service such as in mud mixing systems employing centrifugal pumps.

NJQ50 and NJQ80 difference is the pipe diameter, the valve size. All other main features and specifications are same.

Application of drilling mud gun

In mud system, the mud guns are agitation and transfer device of drilling mud. Between tanks or compartments. No dead corner, high efficiency. Mud guns are also referred to mud mixing gun. They are widely used in drilling fluids system. Process drilling mud on mud tank. They are usually operated together with mud agitator. How to configure a drilling mud gun ?

First, we need to comfirm the nozzles of mud gun. If NJQ50, the mud gun line is 2''. Thne do we need 1 or 3 nozzles. Do we need to confirm do we need the normal pressure mud gun or the high pressure mud gun? The materials and the valves will be different based on the different requirements. Furthermore, the mud gun length, the mud gun height and the connection pipe position. Finally, we confirm the mud gun quantity for a tank or for a system. Usually we decide this according to mud agitators number
