The Mud Gun is designed for submerged service in pits and is available in the 2” and 3″ sizes. Both sizes are low-pressure guns. and The 3” unit is intended for high volume service, such as mud mixing systems that employ centrifugal pumps. All Mud Guns are available with handles, which aid in the 360° rotation of the swivel joints for reducing the amount of solid build-up in tank corners.

Mud Guns also produce flow currents, which boost fluid movements and aid in the suspension or mixing of particles. In addition, Mud Guns can create an alternate product flow when used in conjunction with agitators

Mud guns are also referred to as jet mixers. They are best used in tank corners to keep solids from settling and a mud agitator is placed in the tank center. Mud guns number is the same as the agitator number. Usually, 3 meters per set mud gun. Mud guns can help to mix drilling fluids completely, even at the corner of the mud tank. Besides mixing drilling fluids, mud guns also help to clean mud tanks when necessary.

What difference between different types of mud guns?

The bottom-type mud guns are connected with the bottom mud line and the nozzles are at higher positions, while the non-spin type is designed for mixing large volumes of fluids on top of a tank or pit and also for transferring mud from one compartment to another. It's more flexible to install mud guns in any position necessary.
