Mud mixing guns are simple in design. All turning takes place on double rows of steel balls in flame-hardened races. There is nothing to tighten or adjust. Flow is unrestricted and pressure drop is minimum. PARVEEN mud mixing guns are of 3 types:

Spinner /Pivot Type

The spinner/pivot type mud gun is designed for use in tanks where the utmost in constant agitation is desired. The nozzles are set at an angle and the pressure in the line imparts a spinning motion which is accommodated by a style of 20 high-pressure swivel joints. Furnished in any desired length as specified in the order.

Non Spin Type

The nonspin type mud gun is designed for mixing large volumes of mud on the top of the tank or pit and also for transferring mud from one tank to another tank. Non spin mud gun cannot spin because centrifugal force is neutralized by the offset of the barrel of the gun. Perforated flanges and locking pins permit the locking of a gun in any position.

Bottom Type

The bottom type mud gun is designed for use where large size metal tanks are employed as mud pits. It is simple in construction, easy to install, and easy to operate.

NOTE:

Discharge nozzles in all mud guns are equipped with a tungsten carbide insert.

Both high-pressure and low-pressure mud guns agitate mud by means of rapid fluid movement through a nozzle. Pressure and flow are delivered
via either high-pressure main mud pumps or, most often, centrifugal pumps. There are two points of view as to where pumps for mud
guns should draw suction from:

(1) the compartment that they stir or
(2) a compartment downstream, ideally immediately after the last solids control device.

If based on NJQ50, we need to confirm the nozzles of the mud gun. If NJQ50, the mud gun line is 2''. Then do we need 1 or 3 nozzles? Do we need to confirm do we need the normal pressure mud gun or the high-pressure mud gun? The materials and the valves will be different based on different requirements. Furthermore, the mud gun length, the mud gun height, and the connection pipe position. Finally, we confirm the mud gun quantity for a tank or for a system. Usually, we decide this according to mud agitators' number
