Description of Oilfield mud guns

Oilfield mud gun is used in the solids control system during drilling. They are fit in the mud tanks  Mud guns are usually used along with agitator. That means, almost every compartment on tank will request a mud gun. And there are bottom type mud gun, pivot type mud gun, and non spin type mud gun. For mud gun nozzle, there are 1 or 3 as options.

A mud gun is designed for use in a solids control system of a drilling rig. It is a tool which is mainly used for mixing drilling mud in the circulatory system and to prevent the mud from precipitating. The structure of equipment is simple offering flexible operation and easy use. A mud gun is commonly used to guard against precipitates in a solids control system. The mud gun is installed in a mud tank.
Furthermore, it is usually used together with mud agitator. The mud agitator is used in the middle of the tank while the mud gun is placed in the corner of the tank

Application of APNJQ mud gun

Mud guns are designed for submerged service in mud pits and are popular in 2", 3". Besides, 4” is available against client request. They can be high pressure gun, or low pressure, high volume service such as in mud mixing systems employing centrifugal pumps.

If based on NJQ50, we need to comfirm the nozzles of mud gun. If NJQ50, the mud gun line is 2''. Thne do we need 1 or 3 nozzles. Do we need to confirm do we need the normal pressure mud gun or the high pressure mud gun? The materials and the valves will be different based on the different requirements. Furthermore, the mud gun length, the mud gun height and the connection pipe position. Finally, we confirm the mud gun quantity for a tank or for a system. Usually we decide this according to mud agitators number

We also have made mud gun with 4'' pipe. And pressure range is 0.1Mpa~6.4Mpa. Higher pressure will perform better and safe jet work during drilling fluids mixing by mud guns. The mud gun assembly including handle, valve, flange, pipe, nozzle. On the rotatable mud gun, there is bearing between elbow and the submerged pipe.
