APFI flare ignition device or system for flares is described as particularly suitable for use in remote areas with limited facilities and which includes as components a power source and specifically storage batteries with a solar battery for recharging and having an associated gasoline engine driven blower for supplying air for ignition, together with an ignition panel.

 

Adapted for ready connection to a source of fuel gas, to the blower, to the power source, to the stack pilot, to the pilot ignitor, and if desired to the flare header for purge gas supply. The panel preferably includes a manually operable push button for an ignition spark plug, has indicators of pilot operation, and has manual control of the delivery of fuel gas for ignition, for use as pilot gas, and for use as a purge gas. A thermocouple is provided at the pilot for control of indicating lamps indicative of pilot operation or non-operation as well as purge failure.

Why do we need the APFI ignitor?

The flare ignition device is used to light the waste gas in the oil and gas industry. It is connected with poor boy degasser, which separates gas from drilling mud and vent gas to flare ignition device

 

Burn the harmful or poisonous gas by igniter will eliminate threats to the environment and safety. Every flare ignition device will be operated together with a mud gas separator. They will be connected with the vent line or gas discharge line. They are widely used in oil and gas drilling.

 

Besides traditional flare igniter, Aipu also manufactures the ignition device with solar panels. The battery will be charged under sun energy. This is more environmental-friendly with green energy.

 

For each flare ignition device, we’ll configure the burner, the control panel, the joint connection, a small tank with LNG. Between the ignitor and the fuel line, there is a flame arrestor to ensure safety during ignitor operation.

What is the main configuration of the flare ignition device?

There is the arrestor, the torch, the flame pin, the control panel, the fuel tank, or the connection line. If we use diesel oil as fuel, there will be no diesel tank but the connection line between the ignitor and the fuel tank at the site.

 

Some flare ignition device is powered by a solar panel. This configuration is more and more popular. It's more environmental-friendly and convenient to get the power source.

What are the types of flare ignitors?

Based on the installation way, there are vertical type and horizontal type. That means the torch port direction is parallel to the ground or normal to the ground.

 

Based on the fuel material, there are LNG flare ignition devices or the diesel flare ignitor. Considering the power supply, there are the electrical gas flame and the solar gas flame.

 

I consider the control pattern, there are a fixed control panel and the remote control gas flame. Besides the above division, we can customize the gas flame according to the user and the practical working condition. Such as we made the extrah gas flame for an oil drilling company.
