Description of flare ignition device

Aipu Solids Control Flare Ignition Device of blown down fuel gas designed and manufactured by our company is a kind of handling arrangement used in blown down natural gas, the tail gas from collecting and distributing station of natural gas and from refinery. And being a kind of security and environmental protection equipment, the flare ignition device can be used to have the blown down harmful gas ignited and burned to prevent the environment and security from being endangered. The flare ignition device, apart from being used in the refinery and gas distribution station, may be matched with Mud Gas Separator. And now, as a matured product it has been extensively used in petroleum drilling engineering.

Flare ignition device specification

AIPU model of flare ignition device APFI20/3, AP is the short name of AIPU.
Torch diameter on top is 200mm, stainless material, well welding between stainless and carbon steel material.
The burner height is 3 meters including torch on top, there is back valve installed on bottom of gas inlet to avoid gas flow back for safety purpose.
There is a control panel that can be move by hand, a junction box installed on flare ignition device with high standard of explosion proof and protection standard.
Color of the ignitor can be customized. The standard is red for a warning color.

Flare ignition device working

The gas is carried by pipeline to the safe burner inlet.
Connect and turn on flare igniter current conversion and a voltage amplifier circuit
Open the gas tank and operate the electronic igniter and ignite the fire tube. (the first stage ignition)
Open the gas vent gate cutting, the burning fire tube will ignite gas. (the second stage ignition)
Turn off the gas tank and extinguish the fire tube, combustible gas burning completely

Flare ignition device operation tips

We must prevent any damage on ignition wire during transportation, hoisting, etc.
When installing burner, we should be far away from fire.
The bottom of the burner must be fixed firmly, if required by the guy rope
Flare ignition device should be placed in a good environment to protect the electronic components and ensure good performance.
Flare ignition device is usually combined with mud gas separator in drilling mud system.

Why we need flare ingitor? Because the gas flowed out is flammable and poisonous the flare ingition set behind degasser and connected by vent line. The line is requested at least 60m. This will provide a safe job site. The entrained gas including H2S, CO, methane, get them removed and burned out is the safety assured way.

We provide customization service on many equipment. What is the customizable option on the ignitor? Firstly, the material can be common carbon steel for some little or none H2S content places or drilling sites, if necessary, we suggest the 16Mn steel sheet to resist the H2S gas. Furthermore, as we mentioned, the installation way can be horizontal or vertial and the power supply can be solar energy or electricity. And the fuel station can be canned natural gas or the diesel oil. Besises those, the control panle can be local or remote control. And the torch height is customizable, too. Common height is 3m. But some clients prefer higher or lower one.

For the colors, considering the use almost of ignition device are painted with red color. So we don't suggest other surface coat oil. Red means warning and danger.
