Mud tank systems are a critical component of any drilling operation for maximizing solids control efficiency and effectiveness. The Ideal Mud Tank System is a two-tank unit with a total active (operating) capacity of 1318 barrels (total/nominal capacity of 1500 barrels). The system comes complete with all the essential solids control equipment necessary for successful operations. Additionally, optional solids control configurations are available to suit the needs of specific applications.

Oil well drilling mud solids control system is very important for drilling efficiency to enhance and cost-save. Whole drilling mud system including the shale shaker, degasser, mud cleaner, centrifugal pump, decanter centrifuge, mud agitator, mud gun, jet mud mixer, mud tanks, and the mud gas separator. 

Drilling mud flows into the mud gas separator and then to the shale shaker. The drilling fluids after filtered by the shaker screen will be sucked into vacuum degasser. Degassed mud is transferred to hydrocyclones on the mud cleaner. In hydrocyclones, normally the solids larger than 44 microns will be separated out of drilling fluids. The drilling mud is transferred by the centrifugal pump from the shaker compartment to the mud cleaner inlet. Under pressure and gravity force, the drilling mud will move under centrifugal force in the cone. Then the heavier solids will be pushed to drop in Apex. Then the clean drilling fluid will be treated by further equipment for better result
